when we read, listen, follow and learn from the things our prophets teach us we will escape the destruction of those that choose to forget. having seen the destruction of his people, nephi knosw that the reason they are destroyed is because they reject the prophets and kill them we don't have to kill them them today, all we have to do is reject their words. for those of us that accept the words and teachings of the prophets we will find healing, strength and peace. when we forget to live by what we learn we end up selling ourselves short - because we end up being led by Satan, first with a flaxen cord and then with his chains. the wonderful thing about the gospel is that it is available to all men. Heavenly Father wants every one to hear the gospel message and have the chance to repent and return to Him. it is really frightening to me the power that people allow Satan to have in their lives. all he has to do according to the Book of Mormon is whisper in their ears. the Holy Ghost also whispers to us. who do we hear? - mom
