!Nephi 1-5
i found my reading focusing on following and keeping the commandments of the Lord. when lehi took his family into the wilderness no one in the family was certain that it was the right thing to do and nephi only learned that it was when he himself prayed to the Lord to soften his heart. 1 Nephi 2:16 and from that point on he believed all the words of his father, which then made it easy for him to do all things which were asked of him. 1 Nephi 3:7. even sariah did not have a knowledge of whether or not Lehi really had heard the voice of the Lord telling them to leave jerusalem. she learned that for herself after her sons had returned safely with the plates and from that point on she never doubted and found it easy to follow the Lord.

The Peter Richards Blog
Mom wanted me (McCall) to set up a family blog for our project this year. I believe she has told you all about it - but just in case I have been misinformed....
This year in Sunday School we are studying the Book of Mormon. Mom and Dad thought it would be a fun idea if we made it a family project to do it together. But of course... Melissa, Davem and Cami are in Denver and Candice and Adam are in SLC - so we thought we could do it via internet. Mom and Scott put together a spreadsheet of our schedule throughout the year. Each week we have so many chapters to read in the Book of Mormon, after you have read it - you will then use this blog to post a comment on what you learned from that section of the Book of Mormon.
I know Melissa knows how to work this whole "blog thing"... Candice, I think you should know how to make a comment - if not I can show you. And Melissa, you can show Cami when she moves back to Denver. As for the rest of our not so savvy computer family - I will do my best to teach you all.
I think this will be a great project to do all together. It will be interesting to see what different thoughts we get to each section we read. I think we will find that we are all learning and gaining from eachothers testimonies.
